Hoy os traigo el primero de una serie de posts muy especiales.
Los de Cutty Sark se pusieron en contacto conmigo para retarme a sumergirme en los locos años 20. Para ello, voy a publicar posts ambientados en esa época que, espero, nos van hacer soñar y dejar volar nuestra imaginación.
En este primer post os voy a hablar de la Ley Seca. Esta ley consistió en ilegalizar la fabricación, el transporte, importación, exportación y venta de alcohol en los Estados Unidos.
Proliferaron los locales clandestinos, las fiestas encubiertas y cualquier excusa era buena para vivir y disfrutar la vida. Pero también fue la época de mafiosos tan famosos como Al Capone o del mítico Cotton Club.
Novelas como El Gran Gatsby, películas como Los Intocables de Elliot Ness, nos permiten recrear esa época....
Personalmente es una época de la historia que me fascina. ¿Y a vosotros, qué os parece esta época?

In this first post, I'm going to talk about the dry law. This law was to outlaw the manufacture, transportation, import, export and sale of alcohol in the United States.
The illegal premises, covert parties proliferated and any excuse was good to live and enjoy life. But it was also the time of famous gangsters as Al Capone or the legendary Cotton Club.
Novels such as The Great Gatsby, movies as The Untouchables, allow us to recreate that time...
Personally, it is a period of history that fascinates me. And you, what seems this time?
